Student Recognition
# 1 Club (submitted by Cathy Sork, Ft. Vancouver H.S.)
All staff members nominate students monthly to be in the Number One club. A formal letter is written to the student with an exculsive #1 pin attached. While it is coordinated centrally, the completed letter and pin is given to the nominating teacher to give to the student in their own way. Copies of the letter are sent to parents and students are listed on lunchtime powerpoints, morning announcements, and the monthly parent newsletter. Care is given to make sure that students only get nominated once a year.
