Mini-Cash Register
Small cash registers can be purchased from office stores or Costco. This can take the place of the old cash box that students use when doing small fundraisers. The cash register gives a record of sales that help with the accounting of student-run fundraisers.
Keeping Track of Fundraising (submitted by Che-Mai Gray, Marysville M.S.)
Create a bulletin board area that stays for an entire year. List all upcoming and exisiting fundraisers to keep track of variety, timing, and avoiding overlap as groups plan their events.
One "Fine" Day (submitted by Leslie Ivelia, Olympic View Middle School)
Designate one day where all kids get a copy of their fee statement. Advertise the day with the music from "One Fine Day." Then give two days for all students to pay their fines at the business office.
Secondary Round Table Meetings (submitted by Cathy Denny, Bothell H.S.)
Northshore School District has every other month secondary round table meetings for ASB Secretaries/Book Keepers. This is a great opportunity to share ideas and problems, talk about issues, learn about new lwas, etc. We are in our second year of doing this and we meet with a district employees from purchasing and accounting business office.
