See you in Tri-Cities, WA for WACA on March 11-13th, 2026
Hello Friends of WACA,
I attended my first WACA as a student teacher, grateful for the chance to learn some new lessons and activities. What I walked away with wasn't just a bag full of lesson plans, but connections with some pretty awesome humans who helped me find my footing in the world of student activities. Some of these same folks were there to celebrate with me when I got my first job as a leadership teacher later that summer. So when I say I've been connected and supported by WACA since the beginning, I really mean it.
Our annual conference in March will be yet another opportunity to connect, learn, and grow from veterans in the field, friends in your area, and mentors from around the state. I hope that those who attend walk away with both the same practical tools I received at my first WACA and the connections to others in the work.
I not only believe that our work as educators is rooted in connection, but our effectiveness as leaders and humans is also dependent on it. Our theme - Built to Connect - is designed to lean into that concept by providing tools and connections for administrators, club/class advisors, ASB advisors, culture builders, bookkeepers, CTE educators, and leadership teachers.
We look forward to serving all of our returning delegates to the conference and are eager to welcome those of you new to the world of student activities, culture building and leadership. Please know that you do not need to wait until March to find that support and connection. You can reach out WACA Board members via this website and we have a thriving community of educators on the Washington Activity Coordinators Association facebook page, waiting to help any way we can.
Thank you for the work you do to support students and build culture. Can't wait to see you March 11-13th at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick for WACA: Built to Connect.
With Gratitude,
Coley Veitenhans
WACA President
