WOW Program

Our presentation will outline our incentive program at EMS. We run a number of PBIS programs and one of the highlights is our Mini WOW token economy system. It is organized and ran by our 6th grade Leadership Class, but would fit into almost any school setting. We are in our 3rd full year of implementation and will share what we have learned along the way. We have found ways to cut costs and simplify the program for everyone.

When someone from the district office calls with a question about the budget is your first response “Not Guilty”? If so this session is for you! Many of us have involve- ment with the ASB Budgeting Process, yet we don’t always understand our roles. This session is designed for ASB Book- keepers, ASB Advisors, and Administrators to look at the budgeting process as a road map and fiscal plan for your school year. This session will address building the budget, monitoring the budget, student involvement in the process, and roles and responsibilities throughout the year. The ASB Budget doesn’t always have people who say “I Want to Hold Your Hand” but come to this session and we can make it better for you “With a Little Help from My Friends.”

I’ve Got to Get You Into My Life… or at least into my class. And now, not When I’m Sixty-Four. Do You Want to Know a Secret? We need to discuss stress (good and bad!) and the impact of stress (good and bad!) in our lives. We will identify stressors in life, and we will chat about ways to reduce and live with stress. Finally, we will investi- gate techniques to re-direct stress, and try some relaxation strategies. Everyone’s solution is unique: Maybe you’ll want to Twist and Shout. Maybe you’ll say, “I’m Happy Just to Dance With You”; or maybe you’ll take up hiking and proclaim, “I’ll Follow the Sun”. Maybe you’ll consider meditation and repeat the mantra,“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Life Goes On." Whatever your solution, you’re bound to leave this class saying “I Feel Fine”.

Does your busy schedule make each day seem like A Hard Day’s Night, and you wish things would Get Back to the way they were Yesterday? Well then, Come Together. I’ve Got to Get You Into My Life… or at least into my class. And now, not When I’m Sixty-Four. Do You Want to Know a Secret? We need to discuss stress (good and bad!) and the impact of stress (good and bad!) in our lives. We will identify stressors in life, and we will chat about ways to reduce and live with stress. Finally, we will investi- gate techniques to re-direct stress, and try some relaxation strategies. Everyone’s solution is unique: Maybe you’ll want to Twist and Shout. Maybe you’ll say, “I’m Happy Just to Dance With You”; or maybe you’ll take up hiking and proclaim, “I’ll Follow the Sun”. Maybe you’ll consider meditation and repeat the mantra,“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Life Goes On." Whatever your solution, you’re bound to leave this class saying “I Feel Fine”.
