I hope this message finds you well, as always. November is a month of gratitude and thanksgiving in both my personal and professional life. I want to thank all of the amazing advisers, coaches, and admin in Area 3 who make my job rewarding. I appreciate your responses to my emails and being updated about changes in advisers in your buildings.
I truly hope you use me and other area advisors as resources. Recently, I asked several colleagues about how you run Lock-Ins at your schools. Within a day I received valuable suggestions to share with my kids.
So, send me your burning questions- and I will pass them along to solicit advice.
Conference Notes:
Hotel info is also on the site. Please email me directly with questions.
Helpful hints:
Need a creative fundraiser:
Easy Dress up days:
Mustache Day
Fake Injury Day
Crazy Sock Day
Twin/multiples Day
Service Projects:
That's it for now. My next email will include links to some inspirational videos and websites I think you might like.
Thanks for your dedication to kids- I read a post the other day that reminded me to never miss an opportunity to show appreciation for others. Today is my day for you all. Be well.

Conference Notes:
- It's coming, in March! In the Tri-Cities!
- My goal is 80 delegates from Area 3. We were 71 strong last year.
- Visit the website, wacaonline.org to register. It's not too early; and speaking of not too early, you can also sign up to present. I think our first volunteer for a Meet the Pros session was Jason Simonson from White River HS (applause, loud cheering coming from my couch).

Helpful hints:
Need a creative fundraiser:
- Try a first period pancake breakfast. Students pay to attend. (I'm taking this from our idea share at the conference.) $3 per kid or $50 for a whole class. Students pre-pay, leadership students and admin serve food. who doesn't want to get out of first period. Have PTSA or boosters donate paper products.
- Or, have a Hat Day. Kids pay to wear a hat for the day, and are designated by a wrist band they get when they pay. Right now, half the proceeds could go to ASB and half to Disaster Relief for the Philippines.
Easy Dress up days:
Mustache Day
Fake Injury Day
Crazy Sock Day
Twin/multiples Day
Service Projects:
- Community Dinner- featuring entertainment by band, choir, drama ensembles
- Bleacher/Stands Clean Up- start with the first home contests of the winter sports seasons, set the tone for the season.
